For 15 years, living
in Los Angeles, I was a commercial photographer. I predominately was a contract
photographer, hired for specific assignments. First, I struggled to shoot for
the motion picture studios. Celebrities needed updated photo frequently, for
their management or for a character they play in a movie role. I was fortunate
to get these jobs. Photographed all kinds of TV stars, artists, designers,
movie stars, local celebrities and you name it. Interested in some wild stories?
Ask me about Mick Jagger. Stars have a lot of money and they have a lot of
toys, I started shooting their yachts, exotic car collections, their estates
with ice skating rinks, movie theatres, bowling alleys and indoor pools with
underwater windows. Some of the celebrities and their friends owned private
jets too. Shot Falcon's, Challenger's, GIV's, a 707 and a couple 727's. A Saudi
Sheik had a 747. An absolute palace in the sky. 5 days and a lot of parties.
This was very technical work, using large format cameras, exposures as long
as 8 minutes. A couple owners of the jets also were corporate heads of Resort
Hotels. So I shot many fine Resort Hotels in California, Hawaii, Colorado and
Mexico. The London based "Photography Magazine" did a cover story calling me
the "photographer
of the toys of the Rich and Famous." I have been published in over 30 countries
and yes, I'm getting tired of bragging. I moved from L.A. to Alaska for ten
fantastic years. Got married, had two beautiful children, and ran a RE/MAX
franchise in a small ski resort called Mt Alyeska. Words can't explain the
beauty of Alaska. Then I got unmarried, words can't explain, then I moved where
my kids live, here in Kirkwood Missouri. I'm back in photography, have all
the sophisticated equipment, ready to travel and work here in St Louis. Call
or email anytime.
